here we go!

sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Darin and I had a wonderful time in Florida...... annnnnd he misses living there very very much... I loved it there... soooo we miiiiiiiiight be moving down there! =) We are trying to figure everything out and see if it is a good decision or not. We are weighing all of our options and we should be making a decision fairly soon. I got to meet Darin's friends and we all got along very very well! I don't really have any friends in Vermont... I think I was just really friends with a lot of people before because we went to school together.

Yeah, so if we decide that we want to move and do it right away.... we will be moving just in time for Hurricane season! Yay... I think?

Well, the other day I woke up with Elsa all cuddled into me in bed. She is a total snuggle bug and I just love her! I am going to miss her a lot this coming week when I'm in Florida!! In 24 hours I will be in Florida, off the plane and probably waiting for my luggage! I can't wait!! Bring on the heat and humidity!!! The bad news is that my one good pair of shorts went through the wash and came out with blue crap all over them, I have no clue where it came from!! Waaa! Hopefully it will either come out today or I will be able to find some more shorts in Florida! Ahhh!

rough Friday

Well, today I woke up to go to a funeral. The funeral for my 30 year old Uncle. I'm not going to go into it too much, I did that earlier. I will tell you a few things, he was cremated and my Dad built the wooden box to hold his ashes. The wood was from a tree that my Dad cut down that was in my Grandmothers front yard. Now this tree was one that my Uncle had climbed many times growing up. My Mom made a lining for the box out of material that she had used to make him one of his favorite shirts years ago. Many people had pictures to put in the box as well, pictures of him and pictures of his favorite dog he had growing up. He will be missed and we loved him very much.

please oh please?

Please can I go play on the beach now? It's all I'm really asking, I just want to dig my toes into the sand and forget about my boring monotonous job. I want to wake up in the morning and put my bikini on and forget about cold weather and dreariness. Please? Instead of playing solitaire at my desk I'd like to play tic-tac-toe in the sand with Darin. I just want to feel the sun hug me with it's warmth. I want to wear shorts and flip-flops every day. I want to have a week away from my job.
Can't I be there yet? 5 days and 20 hours before our plane leaves.... and it can't come any quicker! After today, three more work days! YAY!!!

some greenery

This little fern I dug up and brought into work about two months ago... it was living under my porch steps and now it loves it at work! It used to be just three little fern arms sticking up, it sure is loving the sun and regular water it gets now.

Today my boss brought in a ton of flowers for the office and my job is to arrange them. There were extras today so they ended up on my desk!

strange things are happening

well, yesterday I found out that my uncle has cancer.... everywhere. But that's what happens when you drink and smoke and do god only know what else every day. I knew he probably wouldn't last very long since I haven't talked to him in the past 10(?) years once when he was sober. He was kinda fun to talk to on the phone since he rambled on about things that never made sense to me. The only thing that was very apparent through all the garbage spewing from his mouth was how much he loved his family. Most of our family has not kept in touch with him very well because of his alcohol and drug abuse. He would always tell me that he loved my mom very much and she was the best sister he had. He would tell me that he missed my other uncle and that he wished they got to see each other more. He would ask about his mom, who has Alzheimer’s, and tell me how she was the best mom anyone could ever have.

Well, about 10 minutes ago I got a call from my Dad, here at work, telling me that my uncle died around 12:15. I knew it was coming but it's still a shock because I only found out he was sick yesterday. Yesterday all I knew was that he had cancer and it was in his throat, lungs, kidney and liver as far as the doctors knew. He was in a lot of pain and he was on pain medication. It's just crazy that someone can be gone so fast. The last time I saw my uncle was over 12 years ago....

Honeymoon part 2?

So Darin and I leave in roughly 7 days and 20 1/2 hours.... buuuuut who's counting!?!?!? I got a new summer dress over the weekend for the trip and I have another one on the way in the mail, I've got my fingers crossed that it will arrive in time!

I did make a crazy cool painting on Saturday with Darin and I neeeed to take a picture of it and post it up here for you all to see! I love it and I hope you do too!!

I've been eating a lot healthier this last week in hopes to have a better bikini body for Florida... I know, kinda last minute to decided that two weeks before the vacation... buuuut I didn't know we were going until then! Good news is that after one week of me eating better and exercising a bit I have lost 3 pounds!! Crazy!! I wonder what this week will bring me!
